Rapidus CEO Atsuyoshi Koike delivered a keynote speech at HOT CHIPS 2025 in the US

TOKYO, Aug. 27, 2025 — Rapidus Corporation, a leading-edge Japanese foundry that manufactures advanced logic semiconductors, today announced that Atsuyoshi Koike, President and CEO of Rapidus Corporation, delivered a keynote speech on August 26 (local time) at Hot Chips 2025, one of the semiconductor industry’s leading conferences, held in Silicon Valley, USA.

Since it started in 1989, HOT CHIPS has been known as one of the semiconductor industry’s leading conferences on high-performance microprocessors and related integrated circuits. The conference is held once a year in August in the center of the world’s capital of electronics activity, Silicon Valley.

Atsuyoshi Koike was one of the keynote speakers at this year’s event, held at Stanford Memorial Auditorium. This is the first time since 1999 that a keynote speaker from Japan has participated in the event.

During his presentation, Dr. Koike discussed the significance and background of Rapidus’ establishment in light of the current state of Japan’s semiconductor industry, the achievements made over the three years since the company’s establishment, the creation of a new business model, and the direction of future business.
